It’s almost starting! The racing season is almost starting off and you are currently making the last preparations. More and more events are occurring all over the world, fairs, auctions, and more. At Travipharma we are also preparing. Last year was a great year for us. In this article we want to pay special attention to two special events.

ProffSport Fair Houten

It’s most appropriate to start off with congratulating ProffSport with their 25th anniversary. ProffSport is an annual spring fair dedicated to the Pigeon Racing sport. Each year, the fair is for many pigeon fanciers the start sign of the racing season. This year, they start off the racing season on February 28th. The fair lasts from Friday February 28th until Sunday March 1st.

Proffsport is one of the biggest fairs in Europe and is globally known as the place to be for starting off the racing season. Many exhibitors show their products and tools, tips and tricks and latest insights and techniques for professional pigeon fancying. Tens of thousands pigeon fanciers from all over the world attend this fair to gain new insights and knowledge, buy the newest products and supplements and participate in the auction of youngsters.

As is our custom, we will exhibit Travipharma at ProffSport. On Saturday and Sunday, Gerard Schalkwijk will allot a pigeon among the Travipharma buyers. There will also be be a nice fairdiscount at the Travipharma stand. More information will follow on Facebook. Will we see you there?

Pearls of the Sky

GPS-Auctions and TopPigeons are collaborating and organizing the Pearls of the Sky auction. Both world renowned auction houses already work together for an extended period of time. GPS-Auctions focusses foremost on auctioning all-round pigeons whereas TopPigeons expertises in marathon pigeons.

Pearls of the Sky is a collaboration that brings together the best of both auction houses on March 7th. At Pearls of the Sky, you’ll find a collection of the best pigeons, auctioned by the top auctioners and pigeon racers of the Netherlands.

Pearls of the Sky is foremost an event to meet other pigeon fanciers and pigeon experts. That is why there is no option for online auctioning, you have to attend live to get the best of Pearls of the Sky. However, it is possible to place your buying orders online beforehand. You could also mail them to: auction@pearls-of-the-sky.com or via telephone.

Gerard Schalkwijk will auction four top pigeons. Auction nr. 58 is a son of Orange Oil, the three time number 1 Barcelona pigeon. At numbers 59 and 60 are two children of Lady in the Dark, the best European pigeon of 2017. And to top it off: there is a last, unique chance to get a youngster (no. 61) of Barcasilva and Piccina Elite, both parents of Tom Dumoulin and Vale Elite.
